Senior Data Analyst
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Collect, clean, and analyze large, complex datasets from various HR systems (HRIS, ATS, etc.) to identify trends and patterns related to the full employee lifecycle, from recruitment to retention.
  • Talent Acquisition (TA) Focus: Conduct deep-dive analyses on recruiting metrics (e.g., time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, source-of-hire, diversity metrics, funnel conversion rates) to optimize talent strategies and improve candidate quality.
  • Dashboard Development: Design, build, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using data visualization tools to communicate key HR and TA metrics to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Predictive Modeling: Develop and implement statistical models (e.g., regression analysis) to forecast future workforce trends, such as turnover, hiring needs, and skill gaps, providing proactive recommendations.
  • Strategic Collaboration: Partner with HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition leaders, and other cross-functional teams to understand data requirements, define key performance indicators (KPIs), and translate data-driven insights into practical HR initiatives.
  • Data Governance & Integrity: Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of HR data across all platforms, developing and documenting procedures for data handling and processing.
  • Market Intelligence: Analyze external labor market data to provide competitive intelligence on compensation trends, talent availability, and best practices in talent acquisition.
 
Required Qualifications and Skills
 
Experience
  • Minimum 1.5+ years of experience with an Engineering & Construction firm focused on data centers, hospitals, airports critical infrastructure construction, and security electronic systems, operations & maintenance, and low voltage telecommunications construction – with demonstrated experience in data analytics, with a significant focus on Human Resources (People Analytics) and/or Talent Acquisition analytics.
  • 3+ total years including internship with proven experience turning raw data into compelling narratives and recommendations for non-technical audiences.
 
Technical Skills
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL, AI, and ML code development for querying and manipulating large datasets.
  • Expertise in data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, complex functions).
  • Experience with HR Information Systems (HRIS) (e.g., Workday, SAP SuccessFactors) and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) (a must for Taleo, iCIMS).
  • Familiarity with statistical programming languages (Python or R) is a strong plus.

  • High level of business acumen and understanding of HR principles and the employee lifecycle.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
